It feels a lot bigger than it looks!...

Ya know that feeling of fullness that won't go away?  Like you've pig'd out on a large pizza and been forced to unbutton your pants? (which I've done too many times to admit).  Well...that's how I'm feelin' right about now.  Little Baby Boo is only about the size of a lime, yet my belly feels more like the size of a, well...an entire large pizza.  Believe me...it feels a lot bigger than it looks!  Don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining...I just find humor in the fact that I had forgotten what it feels like to be pregnant, and what has to happen to my body in order to make room for a growing baby.  And I'm sure I'll have found lots of humor in the size of my belly by the time this is over.  I'm one of those people that likes to make comparisons and find similarities.  When I was pregnant with Lilee, I often compared myself to a moose (hehe). Well, if ya can't beat 'em...might as well join 'em!  So if you're one of those people that take offense to hearing a pregnant woman "make funnies" about her growing belly...and growing behind...you might not wanna read any of my post's for the next 6 months!

4 YEARS AGO TODAY...

To my Lilee ~

March 23rd, 2006...
It's very early...the sun had just come through the window.  You are about nine hours old.  It's just me and you in the hospital room.  Quiet elation...peaceful bliss.  As I look at your face, I can't comprehend what has just happened.  My life...forever changed.  Now full of the purest joy.  Not even close to realizing the amazing moments to come, and what the next four years are about to bring.
   


March 23rd, 2010...
Right now, you're at preschool.  Probably bouncing around making everyone laugh.  You're class will be having a "birthday lunch" for you in a few minutes.  Complete with cupcakes and fruit roll-ups.  You've been the light of my life since the moment I looked at your angel face.  And for the past four years...everyday with you has been like living right next to the sunshine...
~ the joy you bring to everyone around
~ you're contagious laughter that bubbles out of your heart
~ the way you express love
~ the way you talk about Jesus
Lilee Boo, I don't know what else to say.  So I'll just wrap this up with OUR little "love saying" that we say each night before you go to sleep... 
I love you so much.  I love you more than anything.  I love you like crazy.  I love you like a looney.

That was Lilee's 4th birthday party in a nut-shell.  What a fantastic day!  Couldn't have asked for more (...except to keep my baby girl "4" forever.)  Just to see the joy on her face...priceless.  Then, being my typical sweet Lilee...she makes my heart skip once more by looking out the window on the way home and quietly whispering..."This was my best birthday ever".

Lilee's 4th Birthday

...it's amazing what a little sunshine can do!
70 degrees outside today...wearing flip-flops...and LOVIN' it!!!  I am soooooo ready for spring.

GRAMEE'S BIRTHDAY BASH...

Saturday was Gramee's birthday.  She turned 39 (...haha  ).  She wouldn't tell us anything she wanted for her birthday, so we decided to sneak in her house reeeeeally early on Saturday morning and surprise her with a birthday breakfast!  Greasy Tudor's biscuits and gravy, and Krispy Kreme donuts...yummy!  Needless-to-say...she was very surprised and excited.

(which is Lilee's nickname for the new baby).

    Krispy Kreme dounts make a pretty good b-day cake alternative.

That evening...

Ok, for those of you that haven't ever seen a pregnant woman

that's 8 months along and has yet to hit 100 pounds...

since she says there's a baby in her belly too.

So...it was a great day!  Mom...we all love you so very much, and we hope you had a great "39th" birthday! (...wink, wink)

MOMENTS FULL OF MUSICAL MEMORIES...

Yesterday evening was Lilee's Preschool Musical. She was sooooo excited!

Once she started singing...this girl didn't miss a beat. Singing every word...doing every hand motion...all the way through each song.
