"A Lilee Moment" ~ One I Will Never Forget...

My prayer for Lilee has been the same since she was 1 day old...
"Jesus, help her to find You at an early age. Help her to find Your hand, hold on tight, and never let go...so that you can walk beside her and guide her every step."
Never, could I have ever imagined that at 3 1/2 years old, she would have absorbed and comprehended the truth of Jesus.  What I am about to describe is what I like to call "A Lilee Moment".  One that I will never forget.
At the time, Brian had to be out of town A LOT. During the times when he’s away, I am admittedly uneasy. My thoughts run away with me and fear sets in. I always let Lilee sleep in “mommy and daddy’s bed”…if anything, to help ease some of my own anxiety. On one particular night, she wanted to sleep in her own bed and there was no changing her mind. I found myself pleading with her to “pleeeeease sleep with mommy”. I know, how silly…but I just couldn’t help it. I just wanted my baby girl to be close…one less thing to worry about. She looked at me with those big blue eyes and said words I will never forget…  “Mommy, don’t be scared…Jesus will protect us."  I stood there...breathless.
That night, she reminded me of what it means to trust. To have faith like a child. She has taught me more in
3 ½ years than I will ever be able to teach her.  This video perfectly represents who Lilee really is. Her mind and heart go hand in hand. She is truly a gift. Thank You Father...thank You so much.  I am excited to see what you have planned for her life.

Jingle, Jingle, Jingle...

Ok...I can't sleep...again.  Sooooo.......................................
How early is too early?

Is it weird that I'm already hearing Jingle Bells playing in my head? I just can't help it. Funny how I still get all warm and fuzzy inside when Christmas starts approaching. It's like I suddenly want to break out the hot chocolate and watch re-runs of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and The Christmas Story (the two best Christmas movies of all time...which my husband can literally recite word-for-word. And I'm not exaggerating.) Geesh...we've not even made it through Thanksgiving and I'm already considering putting up the Christmas tree!! Considering the fact that we put up a "family" tree in the downstairs family room, adorned with pretty much anything that the kids would like to decorate with...a "do not touch" tree in the living room, with zero kid decorations...and of course Hunter and Lilee have to have their own trees in their rooms. So that makes FOUR trees all together!
...I have now justified the importance of starting early in this house!

Leaf Rakin' 101...

Ahhhhh...
...how I love the weekends.  Time to slow down and enjoy the simple things.  Like watching my Angel Face help her Daddy rake leaves.  Then...laughing as Daddy gets a lesson in diving head first into the monster pile.

How bout those baby blues!!

Is it just me, or does my Lilee Boo suddenly look all grown up?

Is that a Lilee in all those leaves??

Halloween Happiness...

Had sooooo much fun trick-or-treating!! Lilee tippie-toed her Tinkerbell self all over the neighborhood and collected a ton of candy.  Of course I'll be assisting in making sure it all gets eaten!  Is it bad to steal your 3 1/2 year olds halloween candy?

Just A Thought...

Just read a quote that made me smile...had to share.

~Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says...
"Oh crap, she's up!"~

HaHa...Love it!
